November Birthstone
These magical, handmade glass pumpkins make a statement all year round with their rich colors, fine details, and playfully coiled gold stems. Handblown at the Luke Adams Glassblowing Studio in Norwood, MA studio. Pure magic.
Dimensions: approximately 3.5" tall x 3" wide
THE HANDMADE PROCESS
Each glass pumpkin is carefully handcrafted, making them all unique in color and shape. Pumpkins start out as a hot blob of glass, gathered off a pipe from a 2,200 degree furnace. The glassblower blows into the pipe to trap a bubble. Pumpkin ridges are added by mold. The glassblower blows again to form the pumpkin base. A metallic glass stem is added to the top. Next, they "cool" overnight in a 900 degree oven. And just like that, a pumpkin is born.

THE HANDCRAFTED PROCESS
Small Hearts are handblown by a talented team of glassblowers in our studio at Luke Adams Glass in Norwood, Massachusetts. A molten gather of glass is taken from the furnace onto a pipe. The glassblower adds color and reheats. Another layer of clear glass is applied. The glassblower then carefully shapes the glass into a heart and adds a loop. The heart is then placed into an annealer to gradually cool down overnight. Ta-da! A beautifully unique glass heart is born.

Also an adorable inspiration as a gift to any graduate or new beginnings, for the acorn represents growth and potential.
The Vikings associated acorns with Thor. Because the oak tree attracted lightning, it was sacred to Thor, and the fruit of the oak was believed to be spared by the god’s wrath. So vikings began putting an acorn in their windows to spare their houses from the lighting.
